Geprägt von der New Zealand Mint aus einer Unze 99,9% Silber in der Qualität Polierte Platte, zeigt das Motiv in Farbe eine Szene aus dem Film, in dem die exzentrische und modebesessene Erbin Cruella in ihrem Auto den Welpen hinterherjagt. Die Rückseite zeigt das Bildnis von Königin Elizabeth II sowie den Nennwert und das Ausgabejahr.

Der Disney™ Zeichentrickfilm 101 Dalmatiner erschien im Jahr 1961 und basiert auf einem Roman der englischen Schriftstellerin Dodie Smith, der fünf Jahre zuvor veröffentlicht worden war. Der Film beginnt damit, dass der Dalmatinerrüde Pongo sein Herrchen Roger mit Anita verkuppelt, welche eine Dalmatinerhündin namens Perdi besitzt. Sowohl die Hunde als auch die Hundebesitzer verlieben sich ineinander und bald darauf bekommen Pongo und Perdi Nachwuchs. Als Cruella De Vil, eine frühere Bekannte von Anita, auftaucht und die Welpen entführt, beginnt eine abenteuerliche Rettungsaktion der Hunde. Cruella hat die Absicht, einen Mantel aus Dalmatinerfell herzustellen - ein Schicksal, vor dem die Hundeeltern nicht nur ihre eigenen 15 Welpen, sondern insgesamt 99 Hundekinder bewahren können.
