The hard drive in the housing has standard USB 1.1 and works with every PI, PII, PIII, PIV, with Allen AMD-K7, K8, DualCore, i3, i5, i7 etc and with Allen other notebooks & PCs. 

Full compatibility: with this case you can operate your hard drive via USB 1.1 and USB 2.0.  

Some application examples: 

Data transfer between 2 or more PCs or notebooks, as well as exchanging data: This hard drive is also a very interesting solution if you want to transport your data between 2 or 3 PCs or notebooks. It's brilliantly simple: remove the hard drive, connect it, copy data to the drive and transfer the data to the other PC/notebook.  

Data recovery: Even if the operating system is damaged and a new installation is necessary, you can save your data (from the notebook) yourself - and save a lot of money in the process. No specialist knowledge is required to operate a hard drive via USB. If you do the data recovery yourself, you will save a lot of money. 

Working on someone else's PC: Simply take your hard drive with your data on the trip, connect it to the other person's PC, and you can also access the data from your hard drive there (or also copy third-party data to your hard drive), as well as change and save data.
