This is the original Japanese version of a 6-volume set released in English as "Album of Japanese Sculpture." Each volume is a 10.25"x13.75" softcover published in 1952 in Japan by Bijutsu Shuppan-sha and features 32 plates depicting sculpture from various eras of Japanese history, plus between 12 and 16 pages of text, all in Japanese, written by Noma Seiroku and Kuno Takeshi. Vol. I "Archaic period", II "Asuka period", III "Hakuho period", IV "Tempyo period", V "Heian period", VI "Kamakura period." Vols II through VI have a page or two of what may be publisher's promotional material laid in.

The set is in good condition. The covers show various amounts of wear: small tears, chips, creases, loss at the corners and spine ends, rubbing. The interiors are unmarked.
