RFX Pro Series Brake Pedal
RFX Pro Series brake pedals are designed and tested for use at the highest level.
The Pro Series brake pedals are made of 7075-T6 aluminum and feature an OEM forged axle. The smooth finish of the axle reduces the wear associated with a ribbed design.
The Pro Series flex tips are made of CNC machined aluminum billets and feature a spring-loaded rotating tip that, upon impact, such as in a rut, rotates to reduce damage. The tip also has steel teeth to help grip in muddy conditions.
The Pro Series flex tips also incorporate a stop on the swivel tip, which stops the tip at 90 degrees of rotation, preventing damage that can occur if the tip rotates under the clutch cover.
The series brake pedals also incorporate a cable brake snake, which helps prevent the pedal shaft from being twisted in the event of a collision.

Assembly Instructions:
- Start by taking note of the height of the pedal end in relation to the footrest.
- Remove the R-clip or cotter pin from the back of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
- Remove the pivot bolt that holds the pedal to the frame.
- Detach the return spring from the pedal and let it hang down
- Rotate the pedal outward to expose the cotter pin on the back of the pedal clevis.
- Remove this cotter pin and the locating pin, the rear brake pedal will now pull out.
- Remove the oil seals from the old pedal, clean them and replace them on the new pedal.
- Clean all parts with a multi-purpose lubricant such as maxima MPPL, ready for reinstallation.
- Replace the brake clevis, locking pin and cotter pin.
- Reinstall the return spring.
- Apply Maxima waterproof grease to the pivot bolt, align the pivot hole and reinstall the bolt.
- Tighten the pivot bolt to the required torque according to the operator's manual.
- Replace the R-clip/slotted pin on the back of the pivot bolt.
- Once the pedal is attached, adjust the pedal height to the correct position and clearance by loosening the nut above the clevis and turning the plunger bolt in or out as needed.
- Now install the brake snake.
- Japanese models- Remove the nut and washer from the lower motor mount, replace the old washer with the new washer that is attached to the brake snake.
- KTM models- Remove the new washer that is attached to the brake snake, set it aside as it is not needed on the KTM, loop the cable around the lower motor mount and replace it inside the crimp fitting.
- Set the correct tension on the brake snake, remembering to allow for a downward extension of the pedal
- Crimp the fitting with pliers and cut off the excess cable.
