A milestone anniversary is always a welcome reason for a comeback or a new edition. In this case, Nike is giving its 1999 release the Air Ghost Racer for its 20th birthday. Birthday the long-awaited retro release.

The "Neon Yellow" in particular clearly bears the signature of the 90s and the running shoe styles of the time. Its bright yellow mesh is still an absolute eye-catcher today. The red Swoosh sets another exclamation mark. In general, the Ghost Racer fits perfectly into the sneaker zeitgeist of current performance runners such as the Vomero or the P-6000.

The Ghost Racer was the first model ever to have a continuous Duralon sole. Added to this was the zoom system integrated into the heel. The fact that it was so incredibly light and you hardly felt it while running may not only be an explanation for its name but also for its popularity among runners. For us, the "Ghost Racer" is clearly this week's release and proof that a model without a collab partner or hype label can also be a highlight. The long wait was definitely worth it for the Ghost Racer.
