Mit der Serie French Excellence feiert die Monnaie de Paris die Tradition des französischen Kunsthandwerks. Die 2022er Ausgabe zum Thema "Schätze Ägyptens" ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Louvre Museum und feiert den 200. Jahrestag der Entschlüsselung der Hieroglyphen sowie den 100. Jahrestag der Entdeckung des Grabes von Tutanchamun. Um die beiden historischen Ereignisse zu würdigen, wurde diese Münze aus einer 1/4 Unze 99,9% Gold geprägt und zeigt die große Sphinx von Tanis. Umrandet wird das berühmte Bauwerk von den Darstellungen des Mondgottes Khonsu und des Gottesanbeters Shepenupet. Ebenfalls im Design enthalten sind die Aufschriften "LOUVRE", "1822" und "2022". Auf der Rückseite ist das mit Gold überzogene Bronzegehäuse abgebildet, das einst dem Gottesanbeter Shepenupet gehörte. Zu sehen ist der Gott Amun, wie er über den jungen Tutanchamun wacht. Die gläserne Pyramide des Louvre ist im Hintergrund neben den Kartuschen des Tutanchamun angedeutet. Ergänzt wird das Design von unterschiedlichen altägyptischen Hieroglyphen sowie dem Nennwert "50 EURO". Die Lieferung der limitierten Gedenkmünze in Polierter Platte erfolgt im Original-Etui inklusive einem Echtheits-Zertifikat.

With the French Excellence series, the Monnaie de Paris celebrates the tradition of fine French craftsmanship. The 2022 edition under the theme "Treasures of Egypt" is a collaboration with the Louvre Museum and celebrates the 200th anniversary of the deciphering of hieroglyphs and the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. To commemorate these two historic events, the coin was struck from a 1/4 ounce of 99.9% gold and features the great sphinx of Tanis. The famous building is framed by the representations of the Moon God Khonsu and the Divine Worshipper Shepenupet. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "LOUVRE", "1822" and "2022". The reverse features the gold-plated bronze case that once belonged to Divine Worshipper Shepenupet. Depicted on the case is the god Amun watching over the young Tutankhamun. The glass pyramid of the Louvre is indicated in the background, flanked by the cartouches of Tutankhamun. The design is complemented by various ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, as well as the denomination "50 EURO". The limited commemorative coin in proof quality is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
