Very collectible
and ornate salt & pepper Dispensers About this object. Probably one of the
most unusual salt and pepper shakers Perfection ever produced. Made in pressed
electroplated nickel silver, from the 'Perfection A1' series, electroplated
nickel silver, made by the Silverbrite Electroplating Company, Redfern, New
South Wales, Australia, c.1930 Condition They seem to be in excellent condition with little sign of wear and given the corrosive nature of salt, I’d say they have hardly been used or were cleaned and dried after every usage to protect corrosion. Or kept in a display case. And would be highly prized by a keen collector of authentic vintage Australiana. Maker Silverbrite Electroplating Company Manufacturer Date Made c. 1950-70? Place Made Redfern, New South Wales, Australia Place Notes Australian
electroplating company, 'Perfection', made these stylish electroplated nickel
silver (EPNS) salt and pepper dispensers as part of its range of domestic
wares, marked 'Perfection A1'. I couldn’t find a
date for when the factory closed, which would create the latest date this item could
have been made, but the style looks to be post-war and probably when businesses
in general were becoming successful again. Inscription and Marks They are
backstamped "Perfection Silver EPNSA1 Measurements Approximately 12cms (l) x 5 cms (w) x 1cm (d) including the stem. Otherwise 5x5cms ************* Includes registered and well packaged shipping.
