Early 19th century (1850 or earlier) set of 2 antique religious hand-carved wood statues depicting ANGEL/CHERUBS. Has gold gilding and is polychrome. Origin is most likely French. The statues are carved from wood. These busts are meant to hang on a wall since the back is flat and unfinished. Measures approximately 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. They are 2 ” deep. In excellent condition for age....a few age cracks. Been in my collection for the last 25 years. Downsizing. Came out of a Palm Beach estate. Note: these pairs of antique hand carved wood angels are highly collectable but very hard to come by these days.
