antique map of the port city of Toulon, on the French Riviera.
- It has fine detail
of streets, prominent
buildings, and important
features, including Port Marchand, Fauberg Projeté, Place d'Armes, Rue
Royal,
Parc d'Artillerie de terre, Canal de la Boulangerie, Eglise St. Pierre,
Hopital
de la Marine, Champs de Mars, and Route de Marseille.
- There's a panoramic view of the city, from the outworks
to the east, below
the street plan.
- The map was drawn by William Barnard Clarke, engraved by
Benjamin Rees Davies, and published by
Chapman & Hall for the Society of the
Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, 59 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.

It is titled Toulon. Ancient Telo Martius and is
dated
December 1840.

two distance scales above the title.
