For sale is this beautiful antique Japanese book printed during the mid/late 1700-1800’s. This piece was printed during the late Edo period of Japanese history, or just after, using the wood block printing technique. Using this technique, a wooden block was carved as a stamp, and used to print the pages (an early printing form). This is an accordion book, with pages that are fused together. The pages are naturally thin (possibly a form of rice paper), but are in relatively good condition given the age. This piece came out of a private Japanese book collection, and is guaranteed authentic! Pieces like this can go at a lot of money at auction, so don’t pass up this opportunity to own one for below wholesale value! Please study the photos carefully for condition. This piece might have bug marks, stains, small tears, writing in places, environmental damage, and/or blemishes throughout. I try and photo any significant issues that I come across, so please study the photos for exact condition and feel free to ask questions! It is on display in my personal collection now!
