Original antique color lithographed 1893 map of Denver, Colorado, printed more than 130 years ago.

  • The map labels streets and railroads, and it locates smelting works, canals, parks, lakes, and reservoirs.

  • Among the specific named places and features are the Denver, Texas & Gulf Railroad, City Park, Rocky Mountain Lake, Union Depot, One-Mile Race Course at Overland Park, the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railway, Cherry Creek, Lake Archer, the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, Peck's Hill, Sloan's Lake, and Riverfront Park — Denver's birthplace, where Cherry Creek meets the South Platte.

  • Numerous, unnamed canals, identified with banded lines, thread their way through the city. The only one that's labeled is the Platte Canal, east of Cherry Creek.

  • The map was published by George Franklin Cram of Chicago in 1893. The image area measures 24.4 x 34 cm [10½" x 13½"].

  • Condition:  This map is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.

  • This is an original, authentic 1893 map, not a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be genuine. On the reverse side there is a street map of San Francisco in similar style and format.
