Sterling Handled Button Hook, 6 inches long, marked
“Sterling” at the bottom of both pattern sides though it is worn and difficult
to read, no maker, probably early 1900’s, top right edge on one side has an
indentation damage that is only on that side, about an inch up from where the
sterling is joined to the steel shank there is a slight opening of the seam on
both outer edges, only minor wear to the finish of the steel shank, a nice
ladies button hook that was necessary to aid in pulling those tiny buttons on high
top boots through the corresponding
buttonholes, nicely embossed design.
