Antique Hand Painted Green Covered Footed Dish w/Gold Trim

This piece is unmarked most likely Noritaki or some other quality Japanese porcelain house. Markings were usually required for exporting. This piece was likely made for use in Japan based on the style it is probably from the late 1800s to very early 1900s. Or possibly made before import marks were required-prior to 1891.

It is in beautiful condition. There appears to be a repaired chip on the lid that was artfully, filed and painted with gold so it fits in with the design. It is hardly noticeable as a flaw I captured it in the photographs of the hand painting of the flowers and the gold is exquisite. It’s a beautiful piece.
