The book is in very attractive condition with boards remaining bright, and with just a little wear and bumping (see pictures). Beautifully illustrated throughout by E H Shepard. Some toning to the original pictorial endpapers (see pictures). Internally clean and bright. Ownership signature to the front free end paper. Binding sound and square. 

A very nice example of the first edition. Scarce.
