Step One: Open the Cricut Joy clamp and remove any tools or accessories.
Step Two: Insert the pen into the proper adapter. Note that the pen is inserted into the "B" side as shown above.
Step Three: Insert the pen, with the adapter into the Cricut Joy. Note that on half-barrel adapters, only the half-barrel section is inserted into the Joy.
Step Four: Close the clamp on the Cricut Joy.
Important Notes:
The Gelly Roll pens have two “ridges”: a large ridge and a small ridge. Be sure to insert the pen until the adapter teeth lock on to the large ridge.
Certain pens like the Tombow Calligraphy and the Dual-Brush do not lock in place. Please adjust depth of pen into the adapter for desired strokes.
Don’t force pens into the adapter. If it’s too tight, you’re probably using the wrong pen or adapter.
