D437 Colgate Dental Cream mechanical trade card fold-over dentist dentistry teeth

Very good condition w/ some signs of use. Front w/ some minor light spots. Inside top edge is with hand penned markings, possibly the crossed out name, Annabelle. Some child scribbles - all of which add character and human connection for us today with a child from 1915.

Back leaf has traces of paper from this card having been mounted in an album.

Colgate & Co., New York / London / Paris. Dated on back leaf 1915.

Front leaf has a window hole so the perfect little girl on the inside can stare

at us.

Open the card and the girl is there in full at the bathroom sink brushing her

teeth. And she is holding a tube of Ribbon Dental Cream with the Colgate box

in front position so we can’t miss it. Now we know what package to look for in

the store.

Opening the card activates the girl’s arm into actually starting to brush her

teeth. Thus the mechanical aspect to this card. Two visits a year to the dentist are recommended.

On the back bottom are listed publications by Colgate & Co. for instruction on

the necessity of teeth care.
