We present a super quality impressionist sketch – study in watercolours, figures on a beach ‘Chiffres sur la Plage’ by the Spanish painter Juan Benito (b1944). Born in Castille, Benito studied at the Madrid Academy. He moved to France in the 1970s, working in Saint-Tropez and then moving to Montmartre, Paris, where he was discovered by art-dealer and gallery owner, Katia Granoff. Launching Benito’s work alongside Marc Chagall’s, Juan Benito rapidly gained patronage from private, corporate and institutional buyers in the United States, Canada and Australia, besides in Europe. He currently lives in Camargue and is represented by several leading galleries.
