Suitable for polishing small Jewellery items made out of Gold, Silver,
Platinum, Chrome and Nickel (plated).
Assembly - The Bench Grinder, Cabinet and Polishing Kit are supplied
separately and need to be assembled. For Assembly Instructions and Kit
Contents Please Read Below. Tools required (not supplied) are
a 19mm spanner and a Philips Screwdriver
Supplied with 2 x 4" x 1/2" Polishing Wheels and Polishes as listed
below. The cabinet has 15mm Rubber Feet mounted under the base plate.
These cabinets do not have extractor fans.
Plastic Visor - This
cabinet has been designed primarily for protection to the eyes. The adjustable
plastic visor helps prevent polishing compound bar / polish residues from going
in to the operator's eyes. Conventional bench grinder / polishing kits do not
have built in eye protection.
Loose Cotton Threads -
Polishing Wheels like Loose Fold / Leaf Polishing Wheels etc do shred layers of
cotton threads during polishing, which will fly around. These cotton threads
may be caught by placing a household vacuum cleaner pipe to the side or rear of
the cabinet to hopefully suck up these loose threads.

Electric Plug. Supplied fitted with a UK 3 Pin Electric Plug. International
buyers need to fit their own plug / adapter which is suitable for use in their
own country.
The Cabinet has 15mm rubber feet fixed under its base. The cabinet must be
fastened to the work top prior to use. The Plastic Visor needs to be attached
to the cabinet by the buyer, screws are supplied.
Please Note - the Motor will Run Hot. This is normal. The run time (duty
cycle) is 1015 minutes on, allow to cool, then continue. Do Not Push Hard
against the polishing wheels. This will strain, over heat or permanently damage
the motor. Using Light Pressure with the correct supplied polishing accessories
will get satisfactory results.
Scratch Removal / Scratched Items - If there are
scratches in the item being polished a series of wet and dry abrasive paper /
discs etc may have to be used first to remove the scratches prior to the
polishing phases. DO NOT use abrasives on Chrome or Nickel plated items as
this may permanently damage their surfaces. Use abrasives on gold with care as
gold is very soft.

Assembly - The
Polishing Kit is supplied separately to the Bench Grinder and needs to be
assembled / attached by the following method.
Spindle Adapter Fitting
Once the bench grinder side guards and the grinding wheels have been
removed (please note that the left hand grinder shaft has a left hand nut), the
mop spindle adapters are then slid over the grinder shafts. There is a right
hand and a left hand spindle adapter in the kit. Please remove the grub screws
in the adapters first and then fit the adapters as far as they will go onto the
shaft. Once fitted, reinsert the grub screws (one in each adapter) and tighten
them using your allen key (not supplied)

the buyer’s Ebay account. Please make sure there is somebody available to
receive and sign for the consignment. The carrier will only attempt to deliver
twice and if there is nobody there on both occasions the receiver will then
have to collect from their local depot within 5 days.
