It is made by casting and is equipped with a single elastic band. This combination ensures less friction with the cylinder and consequently a higher yield. In addition to the piston itself, the kit contains the piston pin, the piston pin rings and the piston ring kit. The elements just mentioned are replaceable and interchangeable in case of need. The High Performance line offered by Athena consists of a complete range of cast pistons for the main 2 and 4-stroke Off-Road models produced thanks to a revolutionary computerized technology which ensures dimensional production tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. The balance between the materials used in the production phase (silicon, copper, nickel and aluminum alloys) allows Athena pistons to reach a level of reliability equal to the original and to guarantee greater resistance and excellent performance at the same time.
