I bought them to recover my dining room chairs and never did it.

The back is silk - the photos show the condition.

The would be perfect to recover chairs, a piano bench, re-make back into pillows.   If you sew, you could remake the pillows and add trim around them and resell them.  

The needlepoint is exquisite and very fine and beautifully done.

As you know, Maitland Smith is very high quality.
