This is just an incredible belt buckle suitable for both men and women.
The piece is constructed in layers. The two cast silver tone sides are soldered to the centerpiece and the maiden finding is soldered to the centerpiece.
Wonderful antique condition with slight scratching to the shiny centerpiece. Also the silver plating has worn away on some of the high spots of the two side pieces exposing a soft bronze tone which is pleasing. The black contrast enamel has also worn away in spots. All of these are evidence of more than a century of existence and only add to the antique appeal.
A fantastic buckle for a belt but I can see this upcycled into a breastplate for a necklace. Easy enough to run chains through the loops.
