Solderless 3-Screw Design, designed with braided metal shields in mind. This unique design incorporates a screw down connection for the positive terminal, a screw down along the edge of the ground shell, and a strain relief screw. This allows unprecedented ease and flexibility when terminating cable designs with metal braided shields (such as those with coxial designs). You may, of course, choose to use solder with any and all of our connectors.
  • Thick, pure gold plating.  Much thicker than industry standards.
  • All the other features of any of the world best connectors. You've come to expect a locking barrel design, teflon insulation for best signal propagation, split signal pin to ensure optimal contact with your equipment -- and it's all here.
  • Accepts cables up to 9mm in diameter. Comes with either a Red or Silver bottom ring.

    After having used these connectors now on 10 (5 pair of) cables, I think I can speak with some experience now. I've used many different types of connectors in my 20+ years of building cables -- everything from WBT to Neutrik to Nakamichi to connectors without names -- yet, I've never come across a connector (such as this one) which is of such obvious high-quality, which is so versatile with so many different gauges and types of wire, and which is so easy to use.

    I do a lot of work with pure silver and silver-plated pure ( OFC ) copper, so a connector which brings the conductivity and sonic quality of silver to the table is going to be one I want and need.  My customers trust the fact that I am going to use the best connectors I find for my "higher end" cables -- and not one has spoken negatively about the Johnson Audio connectors.  On the contrary, a few have told me they like them.  These connectors can stand equal to, if not better, than connectors which cost 5x or 10x the price.
