THE 1967 ICE BOWL: PACKERS WIN 3RD STRAIGHT NFL TITLE 19”x13” COMMEMORATIVE POSTER

Green Bay Packers 21, Dallas Cowboys 17. Lambeau Field, December 31, 1967. Bart Starr calls the Packers’ last time out after Donny Anderson’s second attempt to score fails. Green Bay trails the Cowboys 17-14 at the half yard line. Starr to Coach Vince Lombardi on the sideline: “The fullback can’t get up there because he’s slipping and sliding. I’m standing upright, I can shuffle my feet and just lunge in, so let’s run the same play. Lombardi says: ‘Run it and let’s get the hell out of here.’” The same play is called but Starr keeps the ball and scores behind Jerry Kramer’s block. The Packers win their 3rd straight title.
