This antique Tibetan prayer wheel features a barrel deeply and precisely carved with Tibetan Buddhist mantras.  Additionally the top of the prayyer wheel is carved wityh a border of lotus blossomsand the base is carved with a double Dorje. The interior of the barrel is fitted with a coil of many prayers.  This prayer wheel is unique in my experience given that it is almost completely made of wood with virtually all surfaces carved with decoration.  The prayer wheel is 10 3/4" tall and the central barrel is 2 5/8" in diameter.,I believe it dates to c. 1910.
