South Australia 6d QV Sideface Deep Blue 1855 Issue WM2 (SG 3).
* It must be noted that Deep Blue is very similar to Prussian Blue as it is a dark tealy colour. It is rather different from the Slate Blue since Slate Blue has a greyish hue.
* The indication I am using to place this stamp among the 1855 issues is besides it's imperforate state, colour, and WM, it has a hand cancellation (post-mark) that is specific to very early issues. The earliest issues were often hand-stamped with barred ovals and the post-mark on this stamp is a barred oval with a circle in the middle.
* The value of SG3 without the "CANCELLED" postmark is £170 (approx. $374 AUD) but because most of the margins are cut very close with the left being barely "full", the sale price for this item is heavily discounted.
* Sent via registered post.
ENJOY! ☺️
