3. The reason is that some motherboards cannot read some chips with very large capacity. 4.Regarding a memory frequency was originally 1600mhz, but a memory you received can only read at 1333mhz. Most of the time it's not a memory issue, but a motherboard and processor aren't strong enough to read that much memory. For example, a maximum supported frequency of a motherboard or processor is 1333mhz, even if a higher frequency memory is installed, this motherboard can only read 1333mhz
