Description: Wraps. No. 387 of 500. Wraps, good with some tanning and wear to covers, two interior pages tanned from insertion of newspaper article. Inscribed by poet to artist Lois Fink, plus two handwritten poems on preliminary pages, both in English, and loosely inserted is a 2pp letter to Fink plus 15 notebook pages of miscellaneous writings by Livonius, all in English, mainly poems but with one short prose piece, all composed from 1950-55 according to her notes. There are also 2 pages of typed transcriptions of some of the works from the notebook pages. Also enclosed is the newspaper clipping that tanned the pages -- written by Livonius and titled "You Speak English Quite Well," it recounts Livonius's time as an Anglo-Argentine as she describes herself. Lois Fink and her husband Rudolph spent some time in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the early 1960s, where they became acquainted with Livonius, who (we think) was teaching there. A relatively unknown poet whose work spanned cultures and languages. Good.
