The Block Signal Controller Infrared is a 3 aspect LED signal controller. The “BSCIR” is designed to drive and provide the correct logic for any Common Anode track side signal.

(2) IR Sensor Modules with 2’ Flex wire

(2) IR Sensor Modules with 6’ Flex wire

(1) 5VDC 2A Power supply

(6) 4 x ¾ mounting screws

(6) Plastic Standoffs

(1) O scale 3 aspect LED signal

IR Module Connections

Each of the four IR modules plug into the BSCIR main board. Take note of the label on the control board for which plugs are for Block One and Block Two.

You can extend each of the sensor cables by cutting and splicing longer wire leads. Note the Dash white line, this is the signal wire from the sensor, followed by ground and finally power wire. It is Important that you do not mix these up. As one incorrect hook up and the sensor chip will be shot.

Signal Connections

• Connect the Power lead of the signal (Black Solid Line) to the “+” terminal

• Connect the Green lead of the signal (Green Solid Line) to the “GR” terminal

• Connect the Yellow lead of the signal (Yellow Solid Line) to the “YL” terminal

• Connect the Red lead of the signal (Red Solid Line) to the “RD” terminal

Other Connections

• Connect the supplied 5V DC power supply to the Black barrel jack connector.

  • Note: You can also supply 5V DC power to the board from another type of source by connecting them to the 2 terminal PWR connector (Bottom Right Corner) If using this connection note the “+” and “-” orientation of the terminal. You can also power another board from this connection. No more than 2 boards can connected together with one power supply.
