1834 LETTER FIELDING SOWERBY BRIDGE re SALT DISPUTE EMBARRASSED PAID AT HALIFAX

Cover with entire letter from Fielding in Sowerby Bridge 11th March 1834 to Pilling in Rochdale; PAID at HALIFAX oval in red; HALIFAX 12 MAR 1834 town datestamp in red.  Letter says “Dispute with a salt dealer in Cheshire, coming to trial, will embarrass myself and family… have transferred salt trade to my son”.
