Calendula Officinalis Pot Marigold Hardy Annual Garden Flower Orange

30 seeds

Description:
A strongly coloured variety of Pot Marigold, with deep orange to flame orange flowers.  Plants flowers all summer from May/June to October.  They grow to a height of about 30-35 cm and are ideal for sunny gardens and pots.  These make excellent cut flowers and the flowers and leaves are edible.

Pot Marigolds grow best in full sun and well-drained soil.

Sow in spring or autumn.  Sow in a tray or small pots of seed compost, keep at 18-23 degrees Celcius and germination takes 1-2 weeks.  Autumn sowings can be kept in a greenhouse over winter for early flowers.  Late spring sowings in April and May can be done directly into the ground.

Germination notes

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - Please note seed is a live product which depends on many important related grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, and type of soil, watering, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and reasonable weather conditions during the growing period. Germination is affected by such factors as temperature, moisture content, light intensity and contamination of planting media.
