Excellent Linhof 5x7" Technika III camera body with 5x7 standard ground glass back for
regular cut film holders. Camera is in excellent "ready to use" condition with smooth
movements, firm tightening, and supple bellows. Shares characteristics of the late
Technika III: double extension rail, two-position drop bed, rear base all positions movements,
full geared shift, tilt with lever and plenty of geared rise on front standard, plus the traditional
four-post revolving Technika back. Weighs about eight pounds, very robust. Bellows clips
still in place, and the entire bellows is supple and folds smoothly with no wrinkles.
Maximum bellows stretch is about 15 inches. Light traps are good, as are springs and clasps.
Back has standard style folding shade with good leather and clasps, they work well.
This is one of the sturdiest 5x7" field cameras, with an incredible bellows draw.
The camera comes with an original Linhof #3 (65mm hole) lens board ($50 value) in decent
cosmetic condition.
Two things I have to mention:
1. One rear screw on the upper left corner (see picture #5) is not original but works as it
should and most important does the job. No need screwdriver. See pictures.
2. When you mount your lens on the lens board be absolutely sure there is no light leak in
between raise and fall gears, lens, retaining ring and lens board.
Check it with strong flashlight before trying to test a camera with a film.
If you see any light leak it will be only from MICRO holes in between gears in front standard,
or lens and board. The camera does not have a leakage.
TO BE 100% SURE AND AVOID ANY LEAK COVER THE TOP OF THE FRONT STANDARD WITH
ANY BLACK TAPE. I'LL SEND YOU THE CAMERA WITH THIS BLACK COVER AND YOU SEE IT.
