The Order of the Patriotic War is the first Soviet award of the period of the Great Patriotic War. It is also the first Soviet order that had a division into degrees. One of the few Soviet orders handed down to the family as a memorial after the death of the recipient (along with the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of the Mother Heroine and the Order of Maternal Glory of the I, II and III degrees; the rest of the orders had to be returned to the state) until 1977, when the order of abandonment in the family was extended to the rest of the orders and medals.

Belarus has only one factory producing porcelain – in Dobrusha, a small town near Gomel. The company is famous for inexpensive, high-quality and environmentally friendly products, known far beyond the borders of its native country. The Dobrush Porcelain Factory does not pretend to elitism or exclusivity. He makes really "good" dishes that will delight every day for many years.

In 1975, the first and only enterprise in Belarus for the production of hard porcelain was founded in the Gomel region on the Iput River. The construction site was chosen for 5 years. After the decision was made to create its own plant for the production of thin–walled ceramics in the republic, experts considered three options - the regional center of Volkovysk near Grodno, a large transport hub Orsha and Dobrush. Many aspects were taken into account, which subsequently had to ensure the smooth operation of the enterprise. 

Dobrush could provide its own energy and labor resources, in addition, it was located in a prosperous economic zone – on the border of three union republics: Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Despite the deposits of kaolin in the Gomel region, the plant was focused on higher-quality imported raw materials. Mainly Ukrainian white clays were used, so the proximity to their sources was considered an important advantage.
