VINTAGE 1980s CHRISTIAN DIOR BALLROOM CHAIR PIN
FOR LAPEL, HAT, TIE, ETC.

Back in the late 1990's pins and other jewelry charms in the shape of furniture were all the rage. Karl Lagerfeld helped make this a major fashion trend. Coincidentally, I actually owned and ran a high-end traditional home furnishings store with my mother and we both went a little crazy buying every "furnishings" pin and charm we could find!

I sold off all of mine long ago, but my mom recently came up with this one found in her jewelry drawer. The original box was gooped up (my mom used it to store lipsticks-- this was before anyone thought that original designer boxes were worth anything!) and tossed long ago. The pin, however, is perfect and in mint condition.

There is a CD monogram logo on the chair back. No other marking. This piece, like most couture designer costume jewelry is 24K Gold Electroplate (NOT "gold plated" as some mistakenly claim). It's what gives Chanel costume jewelry its rich bright gold appearance. The finish lasts a good long time if not abused.

If you are the buyer of this listing and for any reason cancel your purchase, you will be charged a $4.00 fee to compensate me for the time I invest in wrapping, boxing, and packaging the item; purchasing and printing out a shipping label, etc. It takes USPS up to two weeks to reimburse me for a label that I don't use. Issues

In order to keep your costs down, I will pack most items in the lightest possible manner. However, I abide by all shippers' required packaging in order to insure an item will arrive intact. My intentions are always to send the item in the most protected fashion, at the lowest cost to you.

I reserve the right to use an alternate mode of shipping to the one you have selected, IF the package is estimated to arrive at the same date or sooner. It could be simply a matter of my taking multiple sales' parcels to the same location.
