"Die Mandling" (on the border between the Austrian provinces Styria and Salzburg) - a handcolored lithograph by Franz Wolf after a drawing by Adolf Friedrich Kunike. From the latter's "Malerische Ansichten von Österreich, Steyermark, Kärnten, Krain, Salzburg und Tirol".
Franz Wolf (1795 Vienna - 1859 Vienna) was an established Austrian landscape painter, draughtsman and lithographer. He began his studies at the Vienna Academy of Arts in 1811. In 1813, he trained with renowned Austrian painter Hubert Maurer. He produced multiple graphic works for the Lithographic Institute of Adolph Friedrich Kunike. Works of this artist can be viewed in various museums of Vienna.
Condition: good overall condition, lower edge trimmed irregularly and laid on stripes of paper, unframed
