This book contains information pertaining to bovine herpesvirus1 (BoHV1), characterized from cattle and buffaloes of Southern Gujarat (India). We tried to possible detection methods as per OIE manual prescribed by international organization and other researchers inthier articles. Mainly we have done seroepidemiology as well as molecular characterization. For serology, We did standard ELISA ( indirect ) and FAT (indirect ) to detect BoHV1 antibodies while molecular detection was made through direct FAT, Isolation of virus through MDBK cell line, PCR and finally did sequencing of the selected field isolates.
