To describe this ambiance in postcolonial Nigeria, Achebe also makes use of the symbols and images efficiently in order to demonstrate the extent of corruption in Nigeria. The book provides a wider exposure to the readers that how Negerians were brutally pushed into the world of corruption by loosing their identity in Igbo society.
