⭐️⭐️ It does make sound when batteries are inserted. You kind of have to smack the bottom from time to time to make it work correctly due to its age. When all four are inserted, it makes squeaky sound on the background. When only 2-3 are inserted, there are no squeaky noise. You may have to adjust when music comes out. There are also very tiny chip on the tree where I pointed out in the photos and on the front by the wood log. Please check photos and video clips for detail as they are part of description.
