Vintage American Art Deco "The Commodor" Danbury Ashtray

It was produced by the Novelty Division of the Danbury Electric Manufacturing Company of Danbury Connecticut and marked as such to the underside of the base.

It has a brass top with black ball lid that  is weighted and it drops down to close and extinguish spent cigarettes.

It has a black painted metal body and a black banded brass base.

These seem to be a rare piece and is in good vintage condition with original paint just needs a little cleaning.
