This gray Lowepro Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II Backpack
is a rugged bag with a floating lid that features a large stash pocket
for enhanced capacity and is designed to comfortably and securely carry
your mobile photo studio while meeting the carry-on requirements for
most international or US airlines. Its spacious main compartment
features an adjustable partition system with 11 dividers that can hold a
DSLR camera with a 400mm f/2.8 lens, a 300mm f/2.8 lens, two additional
lenses, and two shoe mount flashes. Alternatively, the main compartment
can be configured for a mirrorless camera with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens,
four additional lenses, and two shoe mount flashes. To enhance the
ability to organize this backpack's contents, a Lowepro Gear Box
equipment pouch is included. Cords, adapters, and other essentials for
the devices carried by the Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II can be inserted
within the Gear Box, keeping them organized within the partition system
or under the floating lid. This large-capacity Lowepro Gear Box can
instead be used to accommodate a folding drone kit.
Complete access to the backpack's main compartment is provided by a
front-facing zippered panel with a 180° downward opening. Along the
inside of the front panel that faces the main compartment are three
zippered organizer pockets for portable batteries, memory cards, hard
drives, or other small electronics. The outside of the front panel also
unzips to reveal a pocket for a 15" laptop. Positioned above the
backpack's base, the laptop pocket helps minimize the effect of any
bumps or shocks.
The exterior front panel has dual compression straps with convenient
side-release buckles that allow a tripod, monopod, trekking pole, or
folded apparel to be fastened against the Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II. It
includes a stow-away cup to support the base of the tripod or monopod
strapped along the front of the backpack. While both sides of the Pro
Trekker BP 550 AW II feature large, open side pockets, an additional
pair of dual compression straps allow the pocket along the wearer's left
to also accommodate a tripod, monopod, or trekking pole. Under the
right side pocket, a zippered compartment for a two-liter hydration pack
contains an exit for a sip tube behind the wearer's shoulder.
The Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II can be carried using its built-in haul
handle or by its adjustable shoulder straps which can hold a camera,
keeping it within easy reach. When traveling over difficult or uneven
terrain, the backpack's waist belt transfers weight to the hips for
additional comfort, while a built-in sternum strap buckles the shoulder
straps together, further limiting unintentional shifting around the
wearer. Zippered pockets along both sides of the backpack's waist belt
provide secure on-the-go storage, and to help ensure that the Pro
Trekker BP 550 AW II meets the carry-on requirements for most
international and US airlines, the waist belt is detachable, as well as
the floating lid which includes its own shoulder strap for use as a
sling bag.
Featuring durable polyester and nylon construction, the Pro Trekker BP
550 AW II is built to be weather resistant and includes a seam-sealed
cover for use under heavy rain. When the rain cover is not in use,
attachment webbings along the Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II's sides and on
the face of its front panel allow for pouches that use the Lowepro
SlipLock Attachment System to connect to the backpack's surface.
