Photograph Notes: This is Bridge No 48 on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal at the foot of the Tardebigge flight of locks. A former pub is on the left, which is now a restaurant and bar with a beer garden. Boat crews considering mooring here for the night may prefer the facilities at Bridge 44 or 42. Here, the Queen's Head Inn now prides itself on its menu and comfortable surroundings, (with prices to match). Pub it is not, despite its efforts to retain Cask Marque status and three hand pumps to dispense the ale - but, no bitter or mild or premium ale today, (one pale ale, off; another pale ale, pump wouldn't draw the beer; a third pale ale .... I didn't finish my pint, and went on to bottled beer - very limited choice of that - poor supply management). Need I say more? The place was almost empty.
