Extremely rare find! An original 1940's print advertisement for Italian Shoe Designer Salvatore Ferragamo's new "Invisible Shoe". Launched 1947. 

Black and white ad features a photo of a ladies foot in the shoe, with its unusual heel that is still influencing fashion today. 

"The naylon invisible shoe with its new heel which will revolutionise the shoe fashion in the world, is created, patented, and manufactured by Salvatore Ferragamo of Florence, Italy. "

Ad Includes a list of sole distributors such as Saks Fifth Ave New York, Fortnum & Mason London, Ferragamo's shops in Italy- Rome-Milan- Genoa, and more. 

Advertisement is in a 1940's vintage souvenir guidebook "Little Guide of Florence and its Environs for Tourists" which is a travel guide for English speaking visitors. Ad is still intact inside the booklet. You will receive the entire paperback booklet, which has beautiful cover art and many nice advertisements for shops, hotels, and businesses around Florence. A complete guide to tourist attractions and points of interest. 

Ad page, and complete booklet, measures 4" wide (10 cm) x 8.37" tall (21 cm). Comes with a protective sleeve.

Ad itself is in great condition other than yellowing from age. Book is good, with yellowing of pages, and some cover wear including a small rip on front cover. Staple bound booklet so the ad will be easy to remove.
