Cut the sub patch to a size about half an inch larger than the tear on your leather item. Push the patch into the hole, ensure the patch is flat beneath the leather.
Apply the glue to the underside of the leather then hold both sides of the tear together. Use a hairdryer on a medium heat for 5 minutes to dry the glue. Ensure that the leather remains held together whilst the glue is drying.
Using the wooden stick, apply the filler to the damaged area in thin layers making it as smooth as possible. Ensure each layer is fully dry before applying the next. Sand down if necessary so it is level with the surface.
