The COMPRO® Reinforced Surgical Gowns are available depending on the level of protective barrier required in the operating environment and the surgical procedure involved. 
The Reinforced gown has higher level of protection against fluid strike through. 
This is achieved by reinforcing the Standard gown at critical areas of the gown with another fabric.
The inside of the gown is reinforced with a non-woven polyester fabric-polyethylene film laminate. The reinforcement is at critical areas of the gown, the inside of the sleeves and the inside front of the gown.

The seams along the sleeves of the gown are heat bonded, not stitched. This construction confers upon the gown added protection against strike through because of the absence of holes from stitching process.

The material of the COMPRO® gown passed the flammability requirement of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission federal standard for flammability of clothing textiles(CPSC 16 CFR Part 1610).

Under this test the material is rated Class 1, the highest rating.

Gown Barrier Level and resistance to fluid penetration
The gown resistance to fluid penetration is measured by two characteristics:
i) the water impact resistance and ii) the Hydrostatic pressure.

The AAMI PNB 70 specifies the barrier resistance level of the gown performance.

Tests conducted on Multigate’s COMPRO® Surgical gowns indicate, both the Standard and the Reinforced gown are Level 3 in the classification.

We notify all customers of tracking numbers on the day of dispatch through the eBay message system. Solmed uses a combination of Couriers and Australia Post for all shipments. If you are unlikely to be home for expected delivery please send us a message if the parcel can or can’t be left. Keep an eye on your tracking, if you are left a card and do not claim the item it will be returned to us and you will be responsible to pay for any additional delivery fees. Any item deemed not suitable for Courier will be dispatched via Australia Post.


Solmed recommends PayPal for your own protection and ease of transaction. You also get buyer protection where applicable. We accept PayPal, Bank Deposit, Visa and MasterCard. If payment has not been made within 5 days of purchase, SOLMED reserves the right to open an unpaid item report with eBay to recover fees and relist items.

This means that our products are legally sold in Australia and are registered for sale in accordance with the regulations.


There is a 30 day return on any faulty products. To be eligible you must return items at your cost. We guarantee that any product found to be faulty supplied by us, will be accepted for return and we will refund all costs associated with the returned item. Statutory Warranties and conditions of Sale apply in Australia under consumer law for all products supplied by Australian Companies.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Should any faulty item be a TGA Registered Medical Product or Device, we are required to submit a report to the Registered Manufacturer in accordance with the TGA Legislation. This is a way of ensuring that any device is safely tracked and monitored for safety. We may ask you a few questions and we are required to verify any fault. All standard State & Federal Warranty Conditions apply.
