About the art piece: Original collage and letterpress monotype.  Printed on Ivory Stonehenge paper.  Only 20 made, + 2 A/P's.

About the Chaos Card: This is an actual business card measuring 3.5inL x 2inT. Comes with sleeve. SEE IMAGE. This card was originally produced as an insert for an ultra-rare zine (#5) put out by Johnny Brewton and X-Ray Book Co. In collaboration with Tim Leary, Johnny had Dr. Leary choose ONE word to be used for this card, and the Chaos Card was birthed. Design and letterpress by Johnny Brewton and X-Ray Book Co.

Mark Faigenbaum works in mixed media and printmaking. He is drawn to objects that physically reflect the passage of time—decaying newspapers, old books, damaged photographs, outdated technical drawings and discarded machine parts. He combines these assorted materials using layering, repetition and assemblage to create shapes and patterns that move beyond purely physical representation to suggest invisible connections. His work has been shown nationally and internationally. He has twice been an artist in residence at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and also at San Francisco Recycling and Disposal.

Johnny Brewton of the legendary X-Ray Book Company, is famous for his gathering and offering of rare and limited pieces of conceptual art and poetry. Graphic designer, letterpress master and conceptual artist, he is also architect and founding member of the collage gang The Kut-uPs. Kut-uP is an international art movement laid out to promote the disfiguration and beautification of the mundane through collage technique.

Condition: SEE IMAGES.  Both the original art piece and Chaos Card & sleeve are all like new.  Art piece is contained in a clear bag with backing support.  Chaos card and sleeve are in their own acid free archival bag also.

I will happily answer any further questions.

Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases.  To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers.  Best not to waste our time.  With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer.  If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings.  I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases.

I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
