Henriƫtte Ronner-Knip (1821 Amsterdam - 1909 Brussels) was a famous female artist, member of a Dutch artist family of the 18th-19th centuries. Her father Joseph August Knip was one of the best Dutch romantical landscape painters, her brother August Knip a succesful animalist artist and her children Alfred and Alice Ronner were also renown artists. Henriette was a pupil of her father and with time became a leading European animalist painter, especially author of wonderful cat and dog paintings, which today achieve very high prices at the international auction market (up to USD 150.000).
