Vintage 1958 Milton No. 917 Pencil Type Low Pressure Gage "Gauge" with Nylon Indicator and Red Marker ring, in Original Box with Original Instructions

Great vintage mid-century hardware item that has been sitting in a toolbox untouched for 60+ years.  Note the old spelling of gauge as "gage" as written on the box and on the instruction sheet.  Instruction sheet and box are both great examples of 1950's advertising and graphics.  Box shows some edge wear and marking, but otherwise in excellent condition for age with all colors and graphics still clear.  Instruction sheet is in excellent conditoin with no rips, tears, marks, stains or writing.

This "gage" has the pop out bar that is spring loaded and only stays out when it is on an air pressure source, then it pops back immediately when removed.  It has been tested and still works perfectly - but note the low pressures it reads (2 to 20 lbs): too low for most modern car and bicycle tires.
