PLEASE NOTE:  I no longer have a quality turntable for 78 rpm records – I only have an ancient single unit record player to use.  It has a weakened speaker so it’s very difficult to tell what distortions are caused by the player and what might be defects on the discs.  I’ll give you my best guess.

Title:  SPIKE JONES: NUTCRACKER SUITE – RCA VICTOR 3 DISC 78 rpm ALBUM

Studio: RCA VICTOR -  P 143

Artists:  Spike Jones & His City Slickers

Original Music by:  Country (Joe) Washburne                    Lyrics by:  Foster Carling

General Description: Three 10” 33 rpm discs in a hardcover album with additional synopsis by Carling.

Album:  GOOD – Very Good edges with mild wear and a few tiny abrasions mostly on the bottom from shelf life.  Good Corners with mild wear – no creases.  Good Spine – two small (1/2”) edge splits at the top not in any immediate danger of increasing - lettering is still 90%.  Good surfaces – Back is Very Good-Plus – Front has an old moderate stain, right center, and the spine tape is a little worn on the edges of the front.  Inside front surface has the synopsis (by Carling) – Good with some foxing.  Back inside surface (plain brown paper) is Excellent.  Inside spine on the front is Good with a little wear and some undeterminable stains - still very strong.  Back binding is Excellent.

Discs: VERY GOOD (I’d like to go higher but, because of my poor player it’s difficult to say).  No Pops, skips, repeats, regular tics or loud static.  These are old discs so, quite naturally, there is a bit of surface noise but overall, these played REALLY NICE.
