Triumph spitfire mk1/2/3 and herald 1200/1300 small crank pully nut new
we have these made new with a slightly tighter tolerance on the coller which goes into the front pully as it fastens up on to the crank so that hopefully it will not loosen over time
a lot of people think its best to use a thread lock on the pully nut BUT should you need to remove it in time to come it can take some real persuasion and thus often these have nasy chisel marks and lumps missing all over them
so if your rebuilding your engine and want it to look lovely firstly purchase one of these secondly use the secret I learned from an engineer many years ago
in-stead of thread lock to keep the nut in place put some tipex on the thread when your ready to final fit and then tighten it up ive never had one come loose done this way
