Photograph Notes: Originally part of [[2522472]] until it was subdivided into three units in the late 1940s. I think this may have started out as 39c and reverted back to 39b at some point though it was also Unit 3 during part of the 1990s. Part of me also thinks that 39c may have been located upstairs which is now a number of flats known as 39. To confuse matters further all the numbering refers to Sydney Street despite the fact that the entrance is on Gloucester Street. 39c has been a little easier to follow starting off as Winningbourne Ltd who first dealt in football pools before venturing into turf accountancy when the law was changed in the 1960s. The company remained here for a couple of decades and may have become Williams the bookmakers who operated out of 39 from the following year. Like 39a the location and size has meant a large turnover of businesses from the 1970s with a number of ladies fashion shops coming and going along with a couple of record shops, one specialising in hip hop releases, and one solely given over to futons. Since August 2010 it has been occupied by Dinky Vintage who specialise in children�s vintage clothes and toys.
