Late Victorian Bee Brooch with Citrine and Seed Pearl Decoration

An attractive bug brooch in the form of a bee mounted on a central gilt metal bar, with faceted citrine forming the thorax and abdomen of the insect. The wings are decorated with four tiny seed pearls. The head is set with a tiny cabochon Ruby or Garnet. The body of the bee is formed from a gilt metal, with the wings being of a silver metal.

The hinges, pin and closure are in good order, and very secure. citrine stones in good condition, with no chips or cracks, facets are crisp.
